Cargo Handling
Moving cargo to the end of the world — and beyond
Ushuaia is the last port before Antarctica. Getting cargo here demands more than standard logistics: it demands local expertise, reliable partners, and an operator who knows every link in the chain. That’s what we do.
From the moment your shipment departs its origin to final delivery at port, warehouse, or vessel, we handle everything — so you don’t have to.
Air, Ocean & Land Transportation
We coordinate multimodal freight across all routes into Ushuaia, including the Punta Arenas land corridor and direct sea connections. Whether it’s a single pallet or a full container, we find the most efficient path.
Final Imports & Transit Shipments
We manage end-to-end import operations and transit cargo with full traceability, keeping your schedule and budget on track across every leg of the journey.
Dry, Frozen Cargo & Spare Parts
From expedition food supplies to critical spare parts, we handle temperature-sensitive and time-critical cargo with the care it requires. No delays, no excuses.
Warehousing & Inventory Management
Our facilities in Ushuaia give you a secure base of operations for staging, consolidating, and managing inventory close to the port — ready when you need it.
In-House Stevedoring
Our stevedoring team works under our own supervision, coordinated directly with vessel schedules and port operations. No third-party contractors, no handoff delays — just a crew that knows what’s at stake and answers to us.
In-House Customs Clearance
We don’t outsource clearance. Our own licensed customs broker handles every shipment directly, with full command of Tierra del Fuego’s special customs regime. Faster processing, fewer errors, and one less party in the middle.
Logistics done right —
from Ushuaia to the ice.

COMPANIES WHO TRUST US

Workflow of cargo arriving to Ushuaia
For most of our Antarctic operations, cargo arrives in Argentina through the Port of Buenos Aires in containers. It is then transported to Ushuaia, where it is loaded onto either passenger expedition vessels or oceanographic research vessels before departing for Antarctica. This is what it looks like:

Main container terminals
All containerized imports arriving in Argentina are routed through Buenos Aires. The map below highlights the main container terminals and the shipping lines operating at each one.

Ushuaia´s bonded yards
Once cargo reaches Ushuaia, it is stored and handled across a network of bonded yards strategically located throughout the city. The map below highlights the main facilities used to support Antarctic logistics operations.
